Picture: If it’s not right to mark up a church that’s not yours how much more your body that belongs to Christ?
Disclaimer: This is not for Christians who had tattoos prior to conversion. This is for Christians who are contemplating in getting one as a born again believer.
In Leviticus 18:3 the LORD said: “Do not follow the practices of the land of Egypt, where you used to live, or follow the practices of the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. You must not follow their customs.” and in Leviticus 19:1-2 the LORD said: “The Lord spoke to Moses: 2 “Speak to the entire Israelite community and tell them: Be holy because I, Yahweh your God, am holy.
Tattooing was a Canaanite practice which God clearly says do not imitate. If you are tattooing yourself you are not being holy and are going against the Word of God.
“You are not to make gashes on your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves; I am Yahweh”– Leviticus 19:27. To cut and mark up your body is the same according to this verse because you have to cut your skin to put ink into it. Cutting oneself is a type of demon worship which is found in 1 Kings 18:22-28.
No Christian has the right to do what he wants with his body because you are not your own, you were bought at a price according to 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. In 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 it says that your body is God’s temple and it is sacred to Him meaning it is holy. You don’t want to cut and put something on your body that was done for demon worship.
2 Corinthians 6:16
And what agreement does God’s sanctuary have with idols? For we are the sanctuary of the living God, as God said: I will dwell among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people. The temple of God which is your body has nothing in common with idols, an idol being an image just like a tattoo. Your body being the temple of the LORD shouldn’t have any tattoos on it because tattoos in ancient practice is ascribed to rituals which are demonic in nature (demon worship through Baal) done by pagans in Canaan, the worshipers of Baal. We as Christians must separate ourselves from the world (Romans 12:2, John 15:19, 1 John 2:15).
God dwells in you by His Spirit (Ephesians 2:21-22) and Christians are the house of God (Hebrews 3:6). In 1 Peter 2:5, we are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood so that we may offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God. How can we defile the temple of God (our body) and be acceptable to Him by putting tattoos that was inspired by Satan?
In Mark 5:2-5 Jesus met a demon possessed man that was cutting himself in the tombs with stones found there. Demons want for us to mutilate our bodies but not with the LORD because He cares for our bodies (for He dwells in there) while demons do not. Demons want to destroy your body since it is made in God’s image.
Christians are not meant to have tattoos since God created us in His image without having it on our bodies. Why would you disfigure your body that has God’s image on it?
Spiritual Minefield 
Yes, I was ashamed when I found this out after I was born again. I have 7 tattoos. The other day, my friend Carlos mentioned something about certain demon or demons that get “points” when someone gets a tattoo. You know how there are different levels of demons? I’ll ask him exactly what he said or where he read that and I will email you with it. Thanks for sharing!!! 🙂

Of course you can probably add that if a Christian has tattoos now…butthey repented of having gotten them….they should not glorify the tattoos by showing them off, but rather being ashamed of them coverthem up….and over time perhaps have them removed one at a time. I certainly feel I would remove them if I had any.
Also although the disclaimer says it is not for Christians who got tattoos before they became Christian….it most certainly can be….the Disclaimer is really there for Christians who had tattoos before they were Christian but still think they are ok to have and evenconsidering getting more.
Which I hope by reading this teu get the point that yoir body no longer belongs to you to do what you want with it…..when the owner who left you incharge of His property returns and sees you mishandled what is His….you will be rebuked.

I think that when a Christian knows that the tattoo he has on was a mistake, he will not showcase it around…logically speaking. Over all I agree.
